READINESS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE MILITARY PERSONNEL FOR PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND SECURITY OPERATIONS

The manuscript examines the problem of developing military personnel readiness for participation in international peace and security operations during specialized training courses of various orientations. Based on the analysis of scientific approaches, the essence of readiness as a dynamic, multi-component personal formation is substantiated. Its structure is defined and detailed. The readiness of Ukrainian military personnel for participation in peacekeeping operations encompasses two interrelated components: personal and military-professional. The personal component includes a system of values, beliefs, psychological resilience, and a focus on performing assigned tasks. It consists of motivational-target and cognitive components. The military-professional component covers specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, and the capacity for rapid decision-making in extreme situations. Both components are realized through the interaction of lower-level elements. The defining factors for this division are the specifics of performing functional duties within peacekeeping operations and the classification (taxonomy) of learning objectives. Key internal (personal) and external (organizational, environmental) factors affecting the effectiveness of peacekeepers' activities are identified. Their potential positive and negative impact is analyzed. Comprehensive consideration of these factors at all stages of training is critically important for the successful performance of assigned tasks. Criteria, indicators, and levels for assessing readiness have been developed, ensuring the objective measurement of training outcomes. Program learning outcomes for courses designed to develop the necessary competencies and skills are described. The obtained results can be used to improve the model of the military personnel training system for participation in international peace and security operations.
