Abstract

The article examines the factors of education and hygiene as levers of influence on the formation of social determinants of health that determine the level of well-being, behavioral habits, risk of morbidity, and life expectancy. Based on the analysis of modern scientific data, the close relationship between the level of education, the socio-economic status of a person, and their health is substantiated. The emphasis is on the deep relationship between education, compliance with hygiene standards, well-being, and health status. It is proven that the educational environment plays a critically important role in the physical, mental, and social development of the individual. The importance of educational institutions as a resource with a wide range of opportunities for reducing social inequality, forming health-preserving behavior, and creating conditions for the full psychosomatic development of children and youth is revealed. It is emphasized that the school not only performs an educational function, but also is an environment of safety, social and psychological protection of children, especially vulnerable categories. The role of the teacher as an intermediary in ensuring conditions for a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention is revealed. Attention is paid to the influence of hygienic conditions, the quality of the educational environment, educational programs, parental participation in the educational process, as well as the importance of early child development. The importance of a comprehensive intersectoral approach to the implementation of state policy is substantiated in order to create the necessary social conditions to ensure justice, well-being, and public health. Education and hygiene are considered as powerful factors in the formation of public health, which should be integrated into all levels of the educational system, taking into account age and socio-cultural characteristics. A range of tasks and directions of educational programs designed to ensure social determinants of health, depending on age periods, levels, and types of educational institutions, is proposed.
