ANALYSIS OF THE CONTENT OF THE AUXILIARY CLASSIFICATION OF BASIC FIGURES IN EUROPEAN PROGRAM SPORTS DANCES

Abstract

In this article, the authors propose a criteria system for forming an auxiliary classification of basic figures and competitive variations of European program sports dances. Thus, the conducted research confirms that the analysis of specialized literature recommended by the most significant international sports and dance organizations shows the insufficiency of the presentation of the logic of the distribution of figures by the conditional level of complexity, which is accepted in sports dance competitions. The study aims to characterize the criteria content for forming an auxiliary classification of basic figures of European program sports dances, considering spatial and rhythmic characteristics. The study utilized theoretical analysis and generalization of methodological literature, monitoring of Internet information resources, and content analysis of the competition rules of the International DanceSport Association, the World DanceSport Federation, the Ukrainian DanceSport Association, and the All-Ukrainian DanceSport Federation. The analysis results allow for the conclusion that the main components of the kinematic structure served as key factors in the classification of technical elements and figures, playing an important role in both the process of technical training of athletes and their subsequent evaluation by judges in competitions. The conducted research allows for the following conclusions: based on the main biomechanical characteristics of the technique for performing steps of Tango figures, an algorithm for constructing a visual table of criteria for the auxiliary classification of basic figures was developed. Thus, it can be concluded that the auxiliary classification, created based on this system of criteria, can be adapted for various training tasks, particularly in developing competitive compositions and evaluating the complexity of dance elements.
