FORMATION OF READINESS OF JUNIOR STUDENTS MAJORING IN "016. SPECIAL EDUCATION" TO WORK WITH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS IN THE MODERN CONDITIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

The article examines the essence and components of the process of forming the professional readiness of future educators to work in the conditions of inclusive education. It is emphasized that under current conditions, the process of professional training in Ukraine is complicated by the challenges of war. Therefore, the readiness of future special education professionals to work with children with special educational needs should be developed from the moment they enter higher education institutions, using all available means and taking into account the opportunities of the educational environment.
A sociological survey revealed that although the junior students majoring in 016 "Special Education" at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy are aware of the general characteristics of their future professional activities, they have no idea what their future students might be like. In light of this, the integrative course "Introduction to the Special Education Major and Pedagogical Deontology" was developed and implemented into the educational process. Its content was designed based on the integration of traditional course information (general pedagogy, special pedagogy, introduction to the major "Speech Therapy", pedagogical deontology), supplemented and expanded with information regarding the specifics of the modern speech therapist's work. A positive influence on the process of forming students' readiness to work was the course «Anatomical-Physiological and Clinical Foundations of Corrective Work», studied simultaneously, which enriched students' knowledge with medical-biological information. The use of computer technologies in teaching these courses helped illustrate the educational material and contributed to a deeper understanding by the students, as confirmed by their success in the final course assessments. We consider such pedagogical conditions of the educational environment for future special educators to be effective in shaping their readiness for future professional activities.
