ORGANIZATIONAL DIRECTIONS OF MANAGEMENT OF SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES OF INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The article is devoted to the important modern topic of the development of scientific activity of students of higher educational institutions. The text examines the definition and purpose of science, its emergence and development. The peculiarities of the science’s functioning in the conditions of market relations, the main methods of scientific research, the forms of scientific research activity and the specifics of its organization are highlighted. Considerable attention is paid to the rational organization of the work of scientists, the search for scientific and technical information and the effectiveness of scientific research worksevaluation. A number of heterogeneous factors that influence the development of research activities of higher education institutions are outlined and systematized, such as technological, social, market, internal non-technological and national factors. Among the specific factors of the development of scientific and research activities of institutions of higher education, national priorities were noted, the implementation of which is aimed at accelerating the development of certain areas of university science and technology, innovative activities of institutions of higher education. The models of management of scientific and research activities of higher education institutions are summarized, highlighting the extended traditional, corporate, technological model, the model of a research university, the elements of which can be implemented in the country. The areas of creation of organizational structures, structural subdivisions of scientific and research activity in the institution of higher education and the management system of this activity are considered. The author emphasizes the issue of training highly qualified scientists capable of independent creative research work. The organizational aspects of management of scientific research activities of higher education institutions are highlighted.
