THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE SINGAPORE TEACHING EXPERIENCE FOR MODERN TEACHERS IN THE PROCESS OF REFORMING THE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF UKRAINE

The article reinterprets the pedagogical experience of Singaporean teachers and the peculiarities of Singapore's educational system to borrow their best assets for the new education system in Ukraine. Reforming education in Ukraine is connected with globalization challenges in Ukrainian society. In the 21st century, the emergence of interactive learning technologies and total computerization put new demands on the young generation. Studying with the help of a notebook and a textbook is gradually receding into the background, and the options for choosing teaching aids for teachers are expanding. The main goal of the new Ukrainian education system is not simply to provide students with knowledge but to form key personal competencies that would contribute to the graduate's success in life and make him competitive in society. The comprehensive approach to reforming the new education strategy of our state affected many fields of science and the educational experience of many countries, which was studied in parallel with the development of recommendations and standards for ensuring the quality of education and the procedure for conducting institutional audits. One of the countries whose educational experience has become very interesting and helpful for Ukrainian teachers is Singapore. The article outlines that Singapore's education is considered one of the most successful in the world, and in 2020, the country entered the TOP-10 ranking of the best education systems; in addition, Singapore is the undisputed leader in the quality of primary education. One of the main principles of the Singaporean approach to education is «teaching children to learn, forget what they have learned, and relearn.» Particular importance in Singaporean educational institutions is given to the child-centered approach, which helps to understand the child as the highest social value and explains the direction of development of the country's educational system, which is also helpful for developing the Ukrainian education system.
