THE NEED TO IMPLEMENT METHODS FOR USING DIGITAL PLATFORMS, CLOUD SERVICES, AND ELECTRONIC PORTFOLIOS IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE OFFICERS

Abstract

The article examines current approaches to modernizing the professional training of future officers in the context of the digital transformation of education and the growing requirements for military specialists under contemporary security challenges. The necessity of the purposeful implementation of digital platforms, cloud services, and electronic portfolios as tools for developing cadets' professional, informational, and communicative competences is substantiated. A methodology for applying digital platforms, cloud services, and electronic portfolios in the professional training of future officers is proposed. It is based on combining traditional forms of instruction with the possibilities of a digital educational environment, ensuring flexibility, mobility, and a practical orientation in the educational process. The study analyzes the didactic potential of digital platforms for organizing educational interaction, managing educational content, and providing assessment and feedback. The functional capabilities of cloud services for collaborative work, storage of learning materials, and performance of project-based and analytical tasks are identified. Particular attention is paid to the electronic portfolio as a means of accumulating learning outcomes and developing reflection, self-control, and professional self-identification of future officers. The proposed author’s methodology for using digital tools in professional training is implemented through three stages: organizational-adaptive, instructional-practical, and control-reflective. The methodology aims to develop digital culture, increase learning motivation, enhance skills in working with information resources, and support well-grounded professional decision-making. Within the study, a survey was conducted among 100 cadets of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi to determine the need for using digital platforms, cloud services, and an electronic portfolio in professional training. The results demonstrated a high level of cadets’ engagement in the digital educational environment and a positive attitude toward the digitalization of the educational process. The obtained data also substantiate the feasibility of implementing a comprehensive methodology for the use of digital platforms, cloud services, and electronic portfolios within the system of professional training of future officers.
