A MODERN APPROACH TO INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS

The article examines modern approaches to implementing inclusive education in the system of physical education and sports in Ukraine, grounded in the theoretical and methodological foundations of inclusion and the main principles of organizing physical education for individuals with special educational needs. The relevance of inclusive education in physical education and sports is highlighted, as at the present stage in Ukraine, significant attention is given to the upbringing, teaching, and physical health benefits for individuals with diverse needs within the educational environment. The legislative foundations of inclusive education in Ukraine provide a legal basis for creating favorable conditions for the education of children with special needs. The main regulatory and legal acts governing inclusive education are analyzed. Based on analyses of scientific literature and practical experience, the significance of the forms and methods of physical education and health-improving activities has been characterized and justified, taking into account the individual capabilities of persons with special needs. Key aspects and prospects for the development of inclusive education have been identified, including the need to improve the legislative framework, implement modern pedagogical technologies, provide adequate material and technical support, and train qualified personnel. Special attention is paid to creating an inclusive environment that promotes the comprehensive development of each individual, regardless of their characteristics and needs. The role of professional competence of teaching staff in implementing an inclusive approach and creating a barrier-free educational environment is highlighted. It has been proven that introducing physical education and sports improves physical fitness, social adaptation, and positive motivation for physical activity. The prospects for further scientific research to improve methodological support for inclusive practice in physical education and sports are outlined.
