The article updates the discussion of improving the practical training of future speech therapist teachers in higher education institutions in line with the requirements of competency-based, practice-oriented training. The feasibility of using simulation and imitation technologies within the educational component "Speech therapy with practicum" to bring the educational process closer to the real conditions of a speech therapist teacher's professional activity is substantiated. The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical justification and a practical analysis of the possibilities of simulation and imitation technologies for the formation of professional competencies of future speech therapist teachers at the first (bachelor's) level of higher education. The study used methods of analyzing and generalizing scientific sources, pedagogical observation, modeling of educational and professional situations, and analysis of the implementation of simulation tasks by higher education applicants. The article describes the main types of simulation and imitation technologies used in the professional training of speech therapist teachers, including case simulations, role-playing simulations, video simulations, and digital simulation tools. Their impact on the development of diagnostic, corrective, communicative, and reflective skills among education seekers is determined. The study found that the systematic use of simulation technologies increases the professional readiness of future speech therapist teachers, promotes awareness of speech therapist activity algorithms, and reduces the discrepancy between theoretical training and practice. It is proven that the use of simulation technologies allows you to model safe, controlled situations, contributes to the development of professional skills and reflective thinking, and increases the readiness of higher education seekers for real speech therapist activity. The practical significance of the article lies in the possibility of applying the presented approaches in the teaching of the educational component "Speech therapy with practicum" to improve the quality of professional training for future speech therapist teachers.
