READINESS OF MODERN TEACHERS TO FORM THE ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCE OF YOUNGER SCHOOL STUDENTS AS A PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM

Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the problem of the professional readiness of a modern teacher for the formation of entrepreneurial competence of younger schoolchildren in the conditions of the new Ukrainian school. The essence of the concept of «key competences» has been clarified and it has been determined that one of such competences of an individual is entrepreneurial competence, the formation of which is gaining special relevance in view of rapid socio-economic changes.

Entrepreneurial competence is considered as a component of the general competence of a person, which includes economic knowledge, entrepreneurial awareness and entrepreneurial thinking, and is also characterized by initiative and entrepreneurship - the leading features of a competitive employee, which allow successfully and effectively solving the tasks of activity. It has been established that the basis for the formation of entrepreneurial competence is economic (financial) literacy, the foundations of which are laid in primary school, therefore the primary education teacher should be distinguished by a high level of readiness for the implementation of the tasks of economic education of students.

In the article, the teacher's readiness for professional activity, in particular for the implementation of economic education of junior schoolchildren, is interpreted as a personal formation that involves a set of professional and economic knowledge, skills, abilities, stable internal motives for the implementation of the tasks of economic education, and includes perseverance, entrepreneurial self-awareness, initiative, financial literacy, entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to generate innovative entrepreneurial ideas. The components of the readiness of a modern teacher for the formation of entrepreneurial competence of junior schoolchildren are characterized, namely: value-motivational, content-based, procedural, creative. An analysis of the level of preparation of teachers for the implementation of economic education of students in the conditions of the new Ukrainian school is carried out, in particular, the following levels of readiness are identified: normative-reproductive, adaptive-transformative, creative-search.
