Abstract

The article deals with the issue of inclusive physical education of students with disabilities in the process of studying at a higher education institution. It has been researched that inclusive physical education in higher education institutions is implemented through rehabilitation pedagogy aimed at personality-oriented learning and self-realisation of students with disabilities, which contributes to the harmonious development, correction or compensation of existing disorders, prevention of the development of secondary and tertiary disorders. It has been determined that the purpose of inclusive physical education in a higher education institution is to form the adaptation of students with functional disabilities to the physical and social conditions of the environment. The implementation of inclusive physical education based on the implantation of adaptive physical activity practices as a programme aimed at ensuring the appropriate required level of physical activity of students with disabilities is proposed. The essence of such a proposal is to integrate students with disabilities into a full active life through physical education. It is determined that the return occurs not only through the adaptation of the student to the educational environment, but also vice versa - through the creation of appropriate conditions in this educational environment. Therefore, such a process involves the integration of existing types of adaptive physical activity into the process of inclusive physical education in higher education institutions and up to the creation of clubs in certain sports in certain higher education institutions for students with disabilities. The content and tasks of educational inclusion using the tools of adaptive physical activity, which is implemented in accordance with several dimensions: social, personal, cognitive, are highlighted. It is determined that the main purpose of implanting the practices of adapted physical activity in the educational process of inclusive physical education of students with disabilities is to provide such students with the opportunity to participate in any type of physical activity, such as games, rehabilitation and recreational activities, which are adapted to their capabilities.
