FEATURES OF THE ORGANIZATION OF COMPUTER TESTING OF STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

The work highlights the problem of organizing computer-based testing of computer science knowledge. Based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources, testing is characterized as the leading form of organization of computer-based testing of students' knowledge. The methodical features of the development of test tasks have been clarified, including the importance of consistently performing the following actions: 1) assessing the feasibility of testing; 2) allocating a sufficient amount of time for the development of testing; 3) clearly defining the purpose of the test; 4) select educational material that is subject to test control; 5) formulate test tasks that should be clear, unambiguous, and as short as possible; 6) choose a software tool; 7) test and, if necessary, refine the test. The analysis of specialized software for the organization of testing was carried out. MyTestXPro, TestMaker, UniTest System, Iren, Indigo, and RichTest were considered. Among other things, their developers provide the possibility of creating test tasks of various types (choosing one correct answer, choosing several correct answers, matching search, ranking request, open question, extended open question, truth or falsity of statements, choosing a place in the image, permuting letters, filling absences), the time limit for the test, organization of remote testing, etc. Based on the results of the research, a bank of computer science test tasks was created to test the knowledge of students using the Google form, where there are 63 questions for choosing one correct answer or several possible options.
