SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND ITS STUDY IN COMPUTER SCIENCE LESSONS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of studying computer graphics in computer science classes. The types of computer graphics are characterized and a brief description of raster and vector editors is provided, the features of three-dimensional graphics and the corresponding software for working with them are described. The analysis of the educational programs of the National Academy of Sciences and textbooks on informatics was carried out. It was found that the mastery of computer graphics is foreseen in high school, in particular, at the standard level in the optional modules "Graphic Design", "Computer Animation", "3D Modeling" and at the profile level in the "Graphics\Multimedia" section. An analysis of textbooks was conducted and it was found that: among raster graphics editors, ACDSee Photo Editor, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, Microsoft Paint (lately Paint.NET), Adobe Photoshop, and GIMP are considered; among vector editors - Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia FreeHand, Corel Draw, Inkscape, Corel Xara; programs for working with fractal graphics (Ultra Fractal, Fractracer) and three-dimensional graphics - Maya, SoftImage, 3D-Studio Max, LightWave3D, as well as programs for creating computer animation - Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, GIMP, Blender, Synfig, Visual GIF, Animator. The problems that require additional scientific and methodological research are students' mastery of computer animation and fractal graphics, development of didactic materials of a different level, etc.
