THE IMPORTANCE OF ORTHOPEDAGOGY SPECIALIST EDUCATION IN TODAY'S CONDITIONS

The prerequisites for the early occurrence of disorders of the musculoskeletal system in children are formed at a sufficiently fast pace in contemporary learning conditions, which are characterized by an increase in the volume of the educational load, an increase in the intensification of learning and neuropsychological tension, static overload and low motor activity. Modern epidemiological studies show that the specific weight of these disorders progressively increases with age, making up 15-17% in preschool age, 30-33% in primary school, 67-72% in high school, transforming into disability due to musculoskeletal diseases system, in the adult population (in 10-12% of cases).
Materials and Methods. An epidemiological analysis of the morbidity of city schoolchildren was conducted according to the data of the medical and preventive care facilities of the Cherkasy city for the period of 1986-2022. The methods of theoretical analysis and generalization, epidemiological, graphical-analytical, and mathematical analysis were used in the study.
Results. Indicators of pathological lesions of schoolchildren in Cherkasy during the last quarter of a century had a steady upward trend in all age groups. In the general structure of pathological lesions, disorders of the musculoskeletal system (scoliosis, flat feet, postural disorders, etc.) prevailed, accounting for 215.19 ‰ – 286.14 ‰.
Conclusions. Considering the growing number of children with musculoskeletal disorders, there is a need to provide institutions, services, organizations, educational institutions, health care and social protection with qualified personnel capable of applying modern educational, rehabilitation, and information technologies in their professional activities. The training of qualified experts of Specialization 016.03 Orthopedics, who know and apply modern educational and rehabilitation technologies, will contribute to the compensation of existing violations when working with children with postural defects.
