FEATURES OF DISTANCE LEARNING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE FOR STAFF OF EUROPEAN BORDER AGENCIES USING FACILITATION METHODS

The article examines the peculiarities of distance learning of English for the personnel of European border agencies, to promote the integration of advanced ideas into the system of distance learning of future border officers in the institution of higher education of the State Border Service of Ukraine, in particular, giving them the opportunity to increase the level of foreign language competence in the process of professional training distance education. It is known that the State Border Service of Ukraine actively cooperates with the European agency Frontex, which allows Ukrainian border guards to participate in international educational projects, distance learning courses of pan-European significance, use electronic educational complexes and textbooks, simulators based on virtual reality. The concept of "facilitation" in the educational online environment is revealed, which is generally interpreted as a set of skills used to effectively manage the activities of cadets on the Internet, which allows you to perform planned tasks in the shortest possible time with the maximum involvement of participants. Innovative forms and methods of learning that are introduced into the educational process, such as: "World Cafe", "Polarization of opinions", "Moderation cards", "Continuum", "Aquarium" are highlighted. The results of the application of facilitation methods and techniques during the "Intensive online course of English for border guards" were summarized, which proved the effectiveness of the conducted training course and indicated the expediency of using facilitation methods and techniques as part of online training courses for future border guards in domestic institutions of higher learning military education. Accordingly, it is objective to promote the development of facilitation skills of trainers of border educational institutions based on best European experience.
