DEVELOPMENT OF AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY: KEY ASPECTS AND APPROACHES

Abstract

The article examines the key aspects and approaches to developing a strategy for the improvement of educational institutions in Ukraine. In particular, attention is given to the importance of strategic planning in the context of modern educational reforms and the requirements for ensuring educational quality. The strategy for developing an educational institution is considered a key tool in a long-term management process that contributes to increasing the institution's efficiency through the optimal use of resources, innovative approaches, and the integration of the latest technologies into the educational process. It is emphasized that, to date, strategic planning in education has been primarily carried out at the state level, and the management methods of general secondary education institutions have not yet been finalized, which highlights the need to strengthen the innovative context of management activity, without which the creation of the future is impossible. It is taken into account that most researchers focus on the fact that strategic planning is related to the process of developing the mission, strategic goals of an educational institution, which are a system of fairly formalized plans, oriented to the implementation of assigned tasks, taking into account the changes that occur in society and within the organization. Therefore, key aspects of developing a strategy for the development of an educational institution include: analysis of the external and internal environment, formation of the mission, vision, and values of the educational institution, definition of strategic directions and goals, development of an implementation strategy and action plan, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the strategy. The article also discusses the role of the administration of an educational institution as the main coordinator of the strategic process. In particular, attention is focused on the need to adapt the strategy to changes in legislation, economic and social conditions, with the involvement of all participants in the educational process and stakeholders in the development of this document. The importance of developing and implementing an educational institution development strategy, ensuring a comprehensive approach and constant monitoring of the implementation of strategic plans to achieve high results in education, improving the quality of the educational process, and creating an open, modernized, safe, and inclusive educational institution in the context of reforming Ukrainian education is analyzed.
